Killingworth Women’s Organization Receives both State and National Awards in 2016
This year the Killingworth Women’s Organization (KWO) was honored with multiple awards from The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), an international organization of women’s clubs established in 1890. All three of the projects they submitted for consideration placed at the CT Convention: Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention: 1st Place, Killingworth Aware; Public Issues: 1st Place, Soldier Care Project; Home Life: 2nd Place, Gregory Bousquet Wish Drive. A month later, the Killingworth Aware Project advanced to the national level and won first place at the annual convention for Creativity. Thank you to our local community for your continued support in such projects and invite you to share in this recognition of success.
