The Helping Hands Pantry was able to offer fresh produce because of an End Hunger CT! (EHC!) Full Shelves Initiative grant. Thank you EHC!
Helping Hands Food Pantry
The KWO started providing volunteers for The Helping Hands Food Pantry in the summer of 2020. The pantry now provides meat, dairy, produce, bread and non-perishables to those in need. Clients can come once or come weekly. There is currently no qualification process. We only ask that you provide your name and telephone number. All information is confidential. The pantry also conducts three annual donation drives with holiday baskets given out to those who request it. Let us know if you’d like to receive these distributions.
Clients are encouraged to self-shop but can also call/email orders ahead at 860 663-1765 ext. 401 or helpinghands@kwoct.org. If you can’t make the designated hours, food pickup is still available by appointment – leave a phone message or email. Delivery is also available for those who are homebound.
HOURS:
- Thursdays from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm
242 Route 81 (on the circle)
Non-perishable food items are welcome anytime. Perishables (fresh produce, meat, dairy etc.) can be donated during our open hours or if you have informed us before you drop it off. We are not there every day so fresh food will spoil.
There’s a box outside the front door of the building split between the pantry and the Backpack program. Please mark bags with appropriate program. Thank you for your support!

Thank You to our Partners & Donors
