Cooking for One, presented by the Senior Connections Committee of KWP and sponsored by Big Y, was a helpful and engaging program led by registered dietitian Natalie Webb.
GFWC-CT Board of Directors Meeting held in Madison, CT. We are proud to share that Juniorettes are now officially part of GFWC.
The KWO elves were hard at work spreading holiday cheer at Christmas at the Farm! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and shared in the holiday fun. 🎄
For the third year, the Killingworth Women’s Organization (KWO) visited Killingworth Elementary School (KES) on GivingTuesday to donate their time to read a story to every classroom. KWO also brought breakfast goodies for the staff and helped raise money for KES to be able to purchase books for the students.

🏕️ That support will provide 11 weeks of summer camp for local children through Deer Lake’s Campership Program
🩵 $4,500 raised for the Kelly Allard Leach Foundation for Children with Spinal Injuries
What a day to remember!
The 2025 All Things Killingworth Town Picnic brought our community together with sunshine, smiles, and hometown pride. From the moment the gates opened, you could just feel the energy—this year’s picnic was something special.
Over 100 volunteers came together to make the day seamless from start to finish
🎵 3 incredible bands—School of Rock Madison, PitchDrop, and The John Spignesi Band
🦅 2 red-tailed hawks released by A Place Called Hope in a moving community moment
🌞 1 unforgettable day filled with community, connection, and purpose
From Cowboy Valley’s Wild West fun to the Sanderson Sisters Tribute Show, there was something for everyone. Families danced, kids laughed, and neighbors reconnected under a perfect October sky.
The food was top-notch with local favorites like Fire in the Kitchen Pizza Truck, The Greenery, James Madison House, Sweet Emilia Ice Cream, and Café Laurel. And shopping local was easy with so many talented artisans and small businesses filling the field with creativity and community spirit.
Of course, the friendly competition brought plenty of excitement—congrats to all our Lip Sync Contest and Cornhole Tournament winners!
Throughout the day, one thing stood out most: community.
Distributing DSVAP road signs and posters throughout our community for Domestic & Sexual Violence & Awareness Month in October.
KWO and Senior Connections held a BINGO event at the Library and Barrelhouse.
